On Sunday 1 February 2026, the first tournament of the fifth edition of the Trofeo Badminton Vergante.
The event, sponsored by the Vergante Municipalities and local associations, was also able to count on the support of historical sponsors Bellora Pharmacy, La Molletta, Lamay, Paglierini 1902, Spazio Piscine and Rachelli Real Estatewho continue to follow the initiative carefully and consistently. The categories faced each other on the field senior e under 13in the doubles specialty, in addition to the under 13 singles valid for the Baddy Cupfederal promotional event.
The deliberately heterogeneous mix of couples resulted in hard-fought and highly interesting encounters. In the senior category, the winner of this first test was the couple formed by Giuseppe Bertolino and Tommaso Garbaccioundefeated in all matches. Second place for the unprecedented pair composed of Guido Sommaruga78 years old, and very young Leo Lorenzini(class of 2010), ahead of Paola Morosini and Marco Garbacciorespectively president and vice-president of the association.
Hard fought final in the under 13s, where Greta Miazzo and Mattia Pasino they got the better of measuring up Elia Genova and Amir Moussafir. In the Baddy Cup singles under 13 it was instead Mattia Pasino to impose itself decisively, preceding Elia Genova and Amir Moussafir.
After this first test, the activity will enter a short pause waiting for the Under 11 Regional Circuitscheduled for Saturday 11 April, and of second round of the Badminton Vergante Trophyscheduled for Sunday 12 April, both again in Pisano. The calendar will continue on March 22when for the first time Pisano will host the Regional Masters Championship in the disciplines of singles, doubles and mixed doubles.
