The Yonex Belgian Junior Master Circuit, which brings together many talented badistas from the country in several age categories (from U11 to U17), passed for the second consecutive year in Namur this Saturday, under the aegis of the BAF Fernelmont. “For more than ten years, we have already organized youth tournaments, but a bit within everyone’s reach. On this circuit, it is much more challenging. Matches have, for example, lasted more than 50 minutes in U15,” explains Robert Burczyk, the manager of a club which was able to count on a solid helping hand from the neighbors of Bad Eghezée to manage this event, in the sports center of this entity. “We received members of 36 Belgian clubs, 20 Dutch-speaking and 16 French-speaking, as well as three selections from the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, or around thirty players. That was nearly 140 participants and more or less 200 matches. We recorded 110 registrations last year. This shows that the notoriety of this meeting is growing. We are the only ones, with the clubs of Verviers and Jodoigne, to insert us into this circuit in the French-speaking region And, in the opinion of the various coaches present, the level of play was even higher than last year.
