The Atlético San Sebastián women’s team and the Real Sociedad men’s team arrived as favorites for the Euskadi Club Cup … which was held yesterday morning at the Anoeta velodrome. In the women’s category, Atlético’s B line was 19 points ahead of the Super Amara BAT of Teresa Errandonea, who won the hurdles with 8.43. Real finished in third position, 25 points behind Atlético. The fourth place was also from Guipuzcoa (Tolosa).
In the men’s competition, absolute dominance of Real. After last year’s disappointment, the txuri-urdin took the Euskadi Cup seriously yesterday. And they didn’t let Durango Kirol Taldea, the 2025 winner, get close at any point. They got twenty points. Third was BAT, at 29.
Another run from Segurola
Martín Segurola completed a new race yesterday at the Valencia GP. The San Sebastian native, in a ‘milqui’ level, finished second with 3:37.57 (his Euskadi record is 3:37.35). Only Mariano García (3:37.22) could beat him. The Real midfielder defeated athletes of the stature of Adrián Ben (European 800 champion in 2023) and Pol Oriach.
The triple jumper Eneko Carrascal took second place with 16.10 meters.
