Aguascalientes Dominates Archery: Coahuila Competition Results

Los AguasCalentenses Rodrigo González de Alba and José Ángel Cuéllar Iturbide obtained first and second place, respectively, in the discipline of archeryduring the “Dafne Quintero” Open Tournament, held in Monclova, Coahuila.

Both archers, with worldwide experiencecompeted in the category Men’s Composite Open and advanced to the tournament final with a 15-shot tie, forcing a tiebreaker arrowin which Rodrigo González de Alba claimed victory.

The competition took place under adverse weather conditionswith temperatures below zero degrees, a rare situation in this modality and which represented an additional challenge for the participants.

It should be noted that participation in this event is part of the preparation process towards the National Olympiad 2026so the athletes were grateful for the support and facilities provided by the Sports Institute of the State of Aguascalientessupport that has been fundamental for the development of archers.

These results confirm the high level that Aguascalientes registers in the archerywhich consolidates the state as a national reference in this discipline.
