The organizing committee for the Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo announced the sabotage of the showers in 70 rooms in the Olympic village. The shower drain pipes were pierced with a mechanical tool between December 2025 and January 2026, after the work was completed. The sabotage was carried out in three brand new buildings in the Olympic village, while the Games are due to officially begin on February 6.
