2026 Olympics Women’s Hockey Schedule & Today’s Games

For the first time since 2006, both German ice hockey teams are taking part in the Olympic tournament. The NHL is taking a break for the Olympic Games, so the men will be competing with all the professionals from the North American elite league. Reigning Olympic champions are Finland (men) and You have (Women).

Olympic schedule for the German ice hockey men

In the group phase, the DEB cracks have to play three games. The group winners and the best runner-up from the three groups automatically qualify for the quarter-finals. The remaining eight teams play a quarter-final qualifier.

The German ice hockey women play against four nations in the group phase. The best three in the German group advance to the quarterfinals. All nations from the other group have already qualified for the knockout round as they are the five best countries in the world rankings.

Olympia 2026: Ice hockey venues in Milan

Milan Santaguila Ice Hockey Arena

In a multifunctional arena southeast of Milan, a total of 33 women’s and men’s games will be played in the Milano Santagiulia Ice Hockey Arena, including all semi-finals and finals. In total, the arena has space for 14,000 spectators.

Milano Rho Ice Hockey Arena

The second venue during the Olympic ice hockey tournament is the Milano Rho Ice Hockey Arena in the northwest of the city. The Fiera Milano Rho exhibition center was converted for the arena. The arena has around 5,800 seats for 19 women’s games and six men’s games.
