We will report on the activities of the Yokohama DeNA BayStars in order to deliver the B Future Actions that they have undertaken in 2025 to all stakeholders, including fans, business partners, and local governments!
The Yokohama DeNA BayStars has reconsidered the significance of its existence in the local community, and has changed the collective name of its activities to “B Future Action” from 2025, with the desire to “support the mental and physical health and enriched lives of children and lead them to a bright future.”
In 2025, we received support from over 100,000 local people through visiting activities and events.
Yakyu future action
I will immediately report on “Yakyu Mirai Action”!
“Yakyu Mirai Action” mainly operates at B-PARK, DB. Starman Cup, BayStars Cup, Kanagawa Prefecture Baseball Exchange Game, Kids Baseball Festival, and baseball classes.
First, this is a report on B-PARK. In 2025, starting with “Ginowan B-PARK” held at spring training camp, “B-PARK” was held at 24 venues in Kanagawa Prefecture, including baseball stadiums, commercial facilities other than baseball stadiums, service areas, and local festivals, with a total of approximately 22,000 parents and children participating!
“High School B-PARK” will be held for the first time on December 13th in collaboration with the Kanagawa Prefecture High School Baseball Federation! 160 hardball baseball team members from 25 schools in Kanagawa Prefecture helped convey the joy of baseball to the children!

In addition, starting from B-PARK in 2025, information sessions and consultation sessions for after-school baseball teams will be held on the grounds, and as a gateway to starting playing baseball, we will also be holding a giveaway of softball gloves for those who join the target team. This time, over 40 children joined the afterschool baseball team and started playing baseball in earnest!

“DB. Starman Cup” will be held at Yokohama Stadium on June 29th! Approximately 1,600 children participated and were active with their friends at Yokohama Stadium!

Next, we held the Yokohama DeNA BayStars Cup Kanagawa Prefecture Junior High School Softball Baseball Championship for the first time, aimed at players who play baseball seriously. The first winning team was the Hiratsuka City Hamadake Junior High School Softball Baseball Club!

In December, we donated the official ball (No. M) to 378 junior high school softball clubs in Kanagawa Prefecture using the proceeds from the winning bid at the Kids Star Night charity auction, minus expenses. Furthermore, we held an online lecture, where Takuya Endo’s mental performance coordinator, Takeshi Kawamura, an alumnus of the baseball team, and Mr. Takayama, the winning manager of the 2014 All Japan Youth Spring Softball Tournament, conveyed to the softball teams at each school the importance of continuing to play!
At the 13th Yokohama DeNA BayStars Cup Kanagawa Prefecture Junior High School Baseball Championship, the Sagami Boys defeated the Chigasaki Black Caps 11-8 and won the championship!

And, in order to encourage the retired generation of active sports players to re-enter baseball, we will be holding the first baseball tournament for adults, “Yokohama DeNA BayStars Cup AGAIN #Rekindle,” in collaboration with Descente Japan Co., Ltd.!
The 10th Kanagawa Prefecture Baseball Exchange Game 2025 will be held at Yokosuka Stadium for two days, August 7th (Thursday) and 14th (Thursday). Top players from the Yokohama DeNA BayStars (Farm), independent leagues, working adults, and universities gathered together for a heated battle between future star candidates!

The “Kids Baseball Festival” will be held at Yokohama Stadium, Yokosuka Stadium, and Hosei University grounds with the help of university students and adult teams from Kanagawa Prefecture! Current Yokohama DeNA BayStars players and 5th and 6th grade elementary school students who belong to after-school teams had a chance to interact through baseball!

Learning future action
We would like to report on the activities of “Manabi Future Action,” which aims to contribute to a brighter future for young people by contributing to the educational field by providing educational materials and implementing programs that utilize the resources of a professional baseball team.
In the “Kindergarten/Nursery School Baseball Fureai Visit,” team mascots DB.Starman and DB.Kirala and official performance team diana visited 120 kindergartens and daycare centers in Yokohama City, where they interacted with approximately 17,000 children through baseball experiences, dance, and more.

Visiting activities are not limited to kindergartens and nursery schools.
In cooperation with the Yokohama DeNA BayStars Players Association, we are implementing the “Wish Upon a Star” project, which aims to teach elementary school visits to teach students the importance of having dreams through dialogue with players who embody those dreams. In 2025, we visited eight elementary schools in Yokohama City.
In order to give older students a real experience that dreams can come true, we asked children to tell us what they wanted to do with the players, and we had them play catch, dodgeball, etc.

We also visited seven elementary schools in Yokosuka City and Hiratsuka City, where official farm games are held, with a focus on young players.

For middle- and lower-grade students, a school coach visits the school and implements the “Elementary School Physical Education Class Visit,” a program in which children have fun learning the movements of “throwing” and “hitting,” depending on their grade. In fiscal 2025, we visited approximately 100 schools and taught approximately 6,500 children the joy of baseball.
In order to make these “baseball-style classes” more fun and fulfilling, we have created “baseball-style class video teaching materials” under the supervision of experts, based on feedback from teachers in Kanagawa Prefecture.
Anyone can use this teaching material for free in class.

In addition to “playing” baseball, we also provide learning opportunities through “watching” and “supporting” baseball.
“Teach Me! Crew Jobs” aims to convey the thoughts of working people and the importance and difficulty of working through online vocational lectures and invitations to watch an open game at Yokohama Stadium for 5th and 6th grade elementary school students in Kanagawa Prefecture.

Chiiki Future Action
Under “Chiiki Mirai Action,” we further strengthened our collaboration with local governments in Kanagawa Prefecture and promoted community-based contribution activities.
Our main initiative is to collaborate with local governments that have reached the milestone of city or town formation, and to develop invitation plans for official games and open games. We provided local residents with the opportunity to watch professional baseball games and created an opportunity for them to visit the stadium. We also actively participated in sports festivals and local events held throughout the prefecture, and by exhibiting baseball experience booths and sponsoring goods, we deepened our interactions with people who cannot usually come to the stadium and contributed to the liveliness of the region. Through these activities, we worked to revitalize local communities and expand our fan base.
① Open game and official game invitation project for anniversary commemorative local governments (March to May)
We invited local governments that celebrated a milestone anniversary in 2025 from the implementation of city or town system to a match hosted at Yokohama Stadium. On the day of the game, the entire stadium was filled with excitement, with the locals who packed the stands cheering passionately, and loud cheers erupting every time a good play was made. Through this experience, participants were able to fully experience the thrill of professional baseball, and it was an opportunity to further deepen the bonds between the community and the team.

Atsugi City (70th anniversary of city organization)

② Participation in local events
We participated in sporting events and festivals sponsored by local governments and local organizations, and enlivened the venue by offering baseball experiences and giving away goods. The venue was filled with the laughter and smiles of the children as they chased the ball with bright eyes. By interacting with the residents in this lively scene, we were able to develop warmer and deeper interactions with the local community.

Social contribution activities
The Yokohama DeNA BayStars is engaged in social contribution activities with the aim of being a team that provides “joy” and “fun” to everyone involved, makes them feel “I’m glad the BayStars are here,” and is needed as a member of the local community.
On Tuesday, December 16, 2025, Kenta Kozono, Yasuaki Yamazaki, Tatsuya Hashimoto, and Takita Miyagi visited the Kanagawa Children’s Medical Center and interacted with hospitalized children by visiting the wards and exchanging words, and playing bat in the gymnasium.
Kozono player comment
“I tried to cheer everyone up, but on the contrary, I received a lot of energy.I realized that it’s not for granted that I’m playing baseball now.I felt how loved the BayStars team is.I don’t think I’ll forget the experience I had today, and I think it gave me a reason to work even harder next year.”
Yamazaki player comment
“I came to this hospital this time with the hope of enlivening Yokohama Middle School, and with the hope of providing some energy to the children who normally spend their time in these wards.Once again, I feel that we received energy, and I am glad that I came.I would like to continue my activities so that there will be even one more player who has this kind of feeling.”
Hashimoto’s comment
“Having had the experience of battling an illness, I had long wished I had the opportunity to interact with children, and I am grateful to have been given this opportunity.I am grateful to have had children suffering from similar illnesses, and to have been able to use my experience to give them courage and hear their words of perseverance. I was able to feel that my experience so far was not in vain. It was a great time for me to express my gratitude not only to my children but also to the parents who support me every day and are going through hard times. I will do my best to become a player who brings energy and joy to those around me.”
Miyagi player comment
“This time, I was able to directly hear the voices of children and parents in the field.I was once again filled with great emotion and gratitude when I heard how the baseball we play on a daily basis is connected to the hopes and joys of children, as well as powerful messages such as “It gives me courage” and “I will go to the ballpark when I feel better.” Also, I was touched by the thoughts of my parents and deeply felt the happiness of being able to play baseball for granted. I will never forget the gratitude and learnings I gained through this experience, and from now on, I will continue to play baseball with the hopes of many more people on my shoulders, putting all my energy into each and every play. ”
