Out injured after being hit in the fibula, the Swiss international first clashed with an opposing supporter during the match. If, at the start, simple words were exchanged, the former Arsenal midfielder went further at the end of the meeting.
Restrained by his teammates
After the three whistles, Xhaka twisted while asking another supporter for Hammerswho was bothering him, to come down to settle their scores. Fortunately, several of his teammates managed to hold him back and to bring down the tension. This is not the first time that the 33-year-old has broken down, since he had already exchanged names with his own supporters last April, when he was still playing for Leverkusen, following a cup defeat against a third division team. Maturity is not a question of age.
