Liège wanted more and to take shelter. Paulet and Bruggeman, certainly in an offside position, combined well on several occasions. It was ultimately the former Olympic player who planted the second.
Liège had to manage and expect more pressure from the locals during the second act. In the 55th minute, Ondo found himself facing Belin but a nice return from Bustin prevented Seraing from reducing the gap.
The Sang et Marine were much less present in the offensive sector and let Seraing play. Kevin Caprasse’s changes were paying off. A cross from Akpa-Chukwu reached Ba, who made it 1-2.
Seraing believed in it more than ever and put the Liège defense in difficulty on several occasions.
Finally, a free kick from Duarte arrived at Akpa-Chukwu, which allowed the Rouge et Noir to grab a point.
