Wesley Ribeiro: Real Sociedad Loan & Content Writer Role

Real Sociedad have moved in the final days of the window to cover Take Kubo’s absence, lining up Brazilian winger Wesley Ribeiro.

According to AS, the 20-year-old will join on loan until the end of the season from Al-Nassr, with an option to buy possible.

The club weighed a move after Kubo’s injury, the sale of Sadiq and with Karrikaburu also close to the exit. Persistent fitness issues have limited Oskarsson, pushing the need for another attacker.

Wesley Ribeiro has yet to play in Europe. He joined the Saudi club of Cristiano Ronaldo in 2024 from Corinthians for 18 million euros, and shares a dressing room with Joao Félix.

His arrival is also with an eye on the possibility that Kubo leaves after this summer’s World Cup, and as a longer-term investment. It is the first signing of the Pellegrino Matarazzo era, and the fifth under Erik Bretos after Caleta-Car, Guedes, Soler and Yangel Herrera, the first of those on loan.
