Vigevano Archers Win Sant’Antonio Tournament | 18m Indoor Competition

It took place with great success XII Toneo the Sant’Antonioorganized by Archers Vigevano Bramante Toweron the weekend of Saturday 17th and Sunday at the gym of the Ramella Elementary Schools, in via Cappuccini in Vigevano.

The event, now a fixed appointment in the winter sports calendar, saw the holding of an indoor competition over a distance of 18 metres, attracting archers from all over Italy, confirming the prestige and organizational quality of the event.

Over the course of the two days, numerous shooting sessions took place, characterized by a high technical level, great concentration of the athletes and an atmosphere of sportsmanship. The audience present was able to witness exciting challenges, with notable scores in various categories.

The contribution of the Shooting Directors: Mauro Mercalli and Naser Rami Pizzocchi who guaranteed the smooth running of the competition with professionalism and competence. The organizing committee could not be missing, made up of Dario Lessio and Alessandro Giardini, who took care of every logistical and sporting detail of the event with commitment and passion.

The home archers are also on the firing line: Lorenzo Molinelli, Carlo Cristiani and Stefano Sasso they won the team gold medalin the Senior Men’s Olympic Arch category (in the photo).

A close podium finish for Valentina Segù, who took 4th place in the Arco Olimpico Senior women’s category.

Debut in competitions for Samuele Bruni, in 5th place in the Men’s Olympic Arco category.

The XII Tournament of Saint Anthony thus confirming itself as a reference event for indoor archery, capable of combining impeccable organisation, large participation and sporting spirit, giving enthusiasts an appointment at the next edition, of the scheduled regional country shooting championship next May 17thas well as the 3D regional championship, scheduled for May 24th, both of which will take place at the Valpometto Natural Oasis in Robbio, continuing the tradition of valorising the naturalistic locations of Lomellina.
