Via Cattaneo Attack: Drugs, Arrest & Financiers Targeted

The financiers of the Provincial Command of Pisa arrested a 38-year-old citizen, of Tunisian origins, who allegedly became the protagonist of violent resistance to a public official. 16 grams of cocaine seized in the operation.

The intervention started from the emergency call for noises and screams coming from an apartment in via Cattaneo, already known to the police due to the presence of individuals involved in drug dealing. The soldiers of the Pisa Group went to the site and provided access to the house, together with healthcare personnel. According to reports, the financiers were attacked by a non-EU citizen, who vehemently attacked the operators. The man was immediately immobilized and sedated by the medical staff present, and was then transported to the Cisanello emergency room.

During the subsequent investigation activities at the house, in the presence of the first man’s brother, a foil wrapper containing a narcotic substance was found, found near a jar of bicarbonate, and packaging material. At that point the subject, the 38-year-old arrested, tried to take the drugs away with pushes, offering further active resistance to the military’s actions. It was then blocked. A knife was also found at his disposal, seized together with cocaine.

The man was finally arrested for possession of a narcotic substance and resisting a public official. Following the direct trial, the Judge ordered the coercive personal precautionary measure of the signature obligation.
