UTPB Women’s Basketball: Latest News & Performance

Odessa, Texas (KTLE) – The UTPB women’s basketball team finished 2-0 in its road games this weekend, after winning 69-60 against Oklahoma Christian University and 49-47 against Cameron University.

In the win at Oklahoma Christian, UTPB shot a season-best 58% from three and tied its best overall field goal percentage in the conference at 52%, while graduate guard Kenadi Rising (Keh-NAH-dee RYE-zing) finished with a game-high 18 points, all scored in the second half, including 15 points in the fourth quarter.

Then, in the win at Cameron, UTPB trailed by three points at halftime, but outscored the Aggies 22-17 in the second half and held them to single digits in each of the game’s final two quarters.

The Falcons are now 10-6 overall and 5-3 in the LSC, and will play on the road tomorrow at Angelo State University starting at 5:30 pm on Tuesday, January 13.
