GORINCHEM Unitas and Kozak Boys are the finalists at the Proxsys Cup. In the semi-finals, De Roodbroeken defeated stunt team SVS’65 on Friday, winning 6-4. The team from Werkendam defeated SVW in a thriller after shoot-outs.

Unity – SVS’65 6-4

The team from Gorinchem initially seemed to easily beat the team from Spijk. Unitas quickly took a 4-0 lead, but saw SVS’65 come back to 4-3. This was followed by a siege of De Roodbroeken’s goal, until the score was 5-3 from a counter. After this it became even more of an open game and both teams scored again. Samuël Scholsberg, Amin Boutachkourt (3x), Sem van de Dool and Daan Romijn scored for Unitas. At SVS’65 were Mergim Shala, Adel Anwar (2x) and Fitim Meha.

Cossack Boys – SVW 3-3 (2-0)

Initially, an all-Gorinchem final seemed to be in the making when SVW took the lead at 2-3. However, things went wrong in the very last second when the 3-3 was made by Kozak Boys. There was no more scoring in extra time, so shoot-outs had to determine who would advance to the final. The team from Werkendam ultimately took this better and won 2-0. Bruno Romijn, Bart Jongejan and Nik Semcesen scored for Kozak Boys. For SVW, Marouane Badi and Ibrahim Fof (2x) were accurate.

Saturday, January 3 at 10:30 PM is the grand final of the Proxsys Cup between Unitas and Kozak Boys.
