Tunisia Coach Out After CAN 2025 Exit

The Tunisian football federation announced on Sunday evening that it had terminated the contracts of the entire technical team of the national team. The staff is paying for their defeat the day before against Mali and their elimination from the African Cup of Nations (CAN), organized in Morocco.

Saturday evening, the Tunisians, winners of the CAN in 2004, were eliminated (1-1, 3 tab to 2) by a Mali team which was reduced to 10 from the 26th minute of play.

An amicable agreement reached

“The federal office has decided to terminate, by mutual agreement, the contractual relationship with the entire technical staff of the national A team,” the Federation announced on its Facebook page.

According to private radio Mosaïque FM, national coach Sami Trabelsi reached an agreement with the Federation for the amicable termination of his contract, an agreement reached during a meeting in Rabat.

They qualified painfully for the knockout phase after a big victory against Uganda (3-0), a defeat against Nigeria (3-2) and a draw against Tanzania (1-1).
