Two Indonesian representatives, Janice Earn And Aldila Sutjiadihas the potential to clash in the quarter-finals of the 2026 ASB Classic tennis championship which will take place in Auckland, New Zealand.
Janice and Aldila, who worked together to defend the Indonesian tennis team at the 2025 SEA Games, now have to go their separate ways in pursuing their individual careers.
Janice, who plays in the women’s singles sector, also plays in the women’s doubles sector. In the doubles sector, Janice is paired with American Caty McNally. Meanwhile, Aldila performed a duet with Makoto Ninomiya from Japan.

Janice/McNally will meet Magali Kempen/Anna Siskova in the round of 16. Meanwhile, Aldila/Ninomiya will face Camila Osorio/Peyton Stearns. Both matches will take place on Tuesday (6/1).
If Janice/McNally and Aldila/Ninomiya win, then the two pairs will definitely meet in the quarter-finals.
Before pairing up with McNally, Janice will first have a women’s singles match. The sixth seed in the 2026 ASB Classic is scheduled to meet Sonay Kartal in the first round.
Aldila/Ninomiya are the fourth seeded pair in the women’s doubles sector. Meanwhile, the first seeds are Asia Muhammad/Erin Routliffe. Asia is one of the players who had a duet with Aldila some time ago.
In the ongoing women’s doubles match, two big-name players, namely Elina Svitolina and Venus Williams, experienced defeat.
Svitolina is the first seed in the women’s singles sector, while Venus is the former world number one women’s singles player. The duet Svitolina/Venus lost 6-7 (7-9), 1-6 to Alexandra Eala/Iva Jovic.
Eala and Jovic are Janice’s rivals in the singles sector. Eala, who comes from the Philippines, is in the fourth seed position. Meanwhile, Jovic is the third seed.
