Ajax has released the agenda for the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders, which will take place on March 9. The intended appointment of Jordi Cruijff as director is an agenda item and is reflected in it document it becomes clear what the technical director will earn in Amsterdam.
Cruijff has already signed a contract until mid-2028 and will officially start as technical director of Ajax on February 1. Cruijff will be officially appointed at the EGM and the management contract of the 51-year-old director will be shared in the agenda.
At Ajax, Cruijff will earn a gross annual salary of 850,000 euros. Through bonuses, his salary can increase to a maximum of 1.6 million euros. The bonuses are divided into a management bonus (maximum 350,000 euros) and a sporting bonus (maximum 400,000 euros). This makes Cruijff the best-paid board member ever. No director has ever received such a high gross salary and potential total salary.
For comparison: general manager Menno Geelen earns 750,000 euros gross annually. He can earn a total of 875,000 euros per year through bonuses.
