T Veen: Dragonder Leads Evenly Matched Teams

VEENENDAAL BC ‘t Veen has recorded a nice draw. The badminton players from Veenendaal held number two BECA 2000 3 well to a 4-4 draw. Wouter Fondse scored points in his singles, his men’s doubles with Ben van Luttikhuizen and his mixed doubles with Jamie van Brienen. Ben van Luttikhuizen (singles) provided the fourth Veense point.

Leader WSV Dronder Noord (men) has extended its lead. The Veenendalers were far too strong for number last BC Weesp with 6-2 and also saw their closest attacker Helios lose 3-5. Dragonder now has a margin of nine points.

The mixed team of WSV Dragonder Noord, itself second in the rankings, played the top match against leader BC Oss 3. The Veenendalers were unable to catch up with the visitors, but did not fall further behind: the score was 4-4 in the Meeting House. The difference between the two top teams therefore remains four points.
