Those responsible at SuS Isselburg had planned the extraordinary general meeting so well. And then this happened!

Disturbance fire at the beginning

Former treasurer Albert Hesseling spoke up to read a statement from two former members who were not present. The two former members criticized the form of the invitation, which did not have a written signature and was therefore formally vulnerable. According to Hessling in his presentation, this also applies to the resolutions passed at the meeting. In addition, Hesseling claimed on behalf of the two former members that – quote: “the lady from the district court of SuS Isselburg is annoyed”. Albert Hesseling also criticized the fact that the new statutes were not visible to all members and therefore could not be approved as they were.

Good cooperation with the judiciary

Paul Krusen, until then acting deputy managing director, replied to Albert Hesseling’s statement that they were in constant contact with the responsible district court in Coesfeld and with a lawyer. “And the lady from the district court is not annoyed by us, but we have worked very well together so far,” noted Krusen. As far as the visibility of the new statutes is concerned, Krusen said that they were available as a table template during the meeting and were also available for download on the association’s website.

Criticisms are read out by those who are not present

Former board member Olaf Biermann also did not want to let the allegations read out stand. “I think it’s an impertinence to stand here and cause a stir again,” Biermann said angrily and asked Hesseling who the two former members actually were and why they didn’t present their criticism in person. “There are two from the previous board,” explained Hesseling. However, he did not name any names. He probably didn’t need to, because from the laughter of those in the meeting, everyone in the room seemed to know the names.

First a mood killer, then a mood of optimism

While the episode surrounding Albert Hesseling was a short-term mood killer, things continued afterwards with the board elections and rising mood. The position of first chairman was not up for election. This remains Jörg Fuchs. Marcel Clemens was elected deputy chairman. Lukas Döring takes over the position of managing director and Paul Krusen is deputy. Managing Director. Miriam Tüshaus is treasurer and Max Meumann is deputy. Treasurer. This means that SuS Isselburg has a fully staffed board of directors that is able to act. What is currently missing is the football chairman – or the football chairman. “This is a very important position, we have to see that it is filled quickly,” said Paul Krusen at the end of the elections.

New statutes

Another item on the agenda was the association’s new statutes. Here Paul Krusen went through the old and new statutes point by point and explicitly pointed out the changes in the new statutes. The new statutes were approved unanimously.

Thanks to the volunteers

Honorary member Olaf Biermann then spoke again. “I would like to express my thanks to those who put a lot of work into creating the new statutes and who are volunteering their time on the board and the individual departments (football, table tennis, baseball) for the SuS,” explained Biermann to the applause of the members present. Incidentally, Albert Hesseling did not notice this as he had left the meeting early.

The club is on the right track

The officials were also satisfied with the sporting aspect. The footballers in the first team still have the possibility of promotion, the table tennis team is doing well in the district league and the baseball department is still being developed. Marcel Clemens, who after his election as deputy. Chairman also as deputy. The head of the youth department emphasized that the youth department is growing rapidly. “In the last week alone there were three new registrations and from the summer we will be able to field an e-youth team again,” said Clemens.
