New poor performance for Standard, beaten by La Gantoise in their six-point match this Friday evening. Here are the Rouches notes for this meeting.
Matthew Epolo (4)
Powerless on Kanga’s two goals in the first period. Between the short game and the long game, he tried to vary his raises to help Standard plan. In vain, very often. Four goals conceded in the end, it hurts.
Henry Lawrence (5)
Good will in the offensive game and a good overall performance against Skoras. Courageous match from the young Englishman, who cannot be blamed for the poor results of recent weeks.
Daan Dierckx (3)
A better performance than in Charleroi, but for example he gets screwed far too easily by Kanga on the 0-2. Overall, his match in the match with the Ivorian striker was very complicated.
Ibe Hautekiet (3)
Ito easily takes his back on the 0-2, and this is far from being the first time this season that he has been fooled like this during a defensive race. For him too, complicated aerial duels with Kanga.
Gustav Mortensen (5)
A breath of fresh air on the left, with more technical accuracy, lots of offensive projections and crosses. He was one of the only ones to harangue Sclessin after winning a corner at 0-2. The guy understood where he was going and is to be credited with a rather good first at home.

Marco Ilaimaharitra (3)
Far too many ball losses for a player supposed to bring balance and stability to the midfield. Better in the second half, but insufficient performance overall.
Nayel Mehssatou (4)
Interesting in his association with experienced players like Ilaimaharitra and Teuma, who however did not deliver a great match. Out of position, on the other hand, on the 0-2, and more generally in the defensive phase. Replaced at the break for a more offensive profile, that of Ayensa.
Teddy Then (3)
A good start to the match, then a big loss of ball which led to Kanga’s 0-1. Good stopped phases overall, but waste and nonchalance in the game. A performance below expectations.
Adnane Abid (4)
His dribbles and infiltrations can hurt, but he still lacks the ability to be concrete and be decisive. Sometimes a little messy in the zone of truth. Replaced at the break by Nguene.
Friend Saïd (3)
His hook to enter the game becomes stereotypical and no longer destabilizes. He therefore often retraces his steps or gets rid of the ball, but without making good use of it. A few corners won, but very little danger for Roef.
Thomas Henry (3)
Marked in the pants by Paskotsi and Van der Heyden, who did not leave him alone for a single second. He absolutely did not weigh on the opposing defense in the game. Alerted during set phases, his headers did not find the target. Insufficient.
Dennis Ayensa (4)
Built to bring presence around Thomas Henry, he showed himself to be true to himself. Lots of goodwill, effort and runs, but hardly any exploitable balls received and no clear chances created. He wasn’t the solution, and isn’t often enough.
Bernard Nguene (4)
Another profile than Abid, more athletic. Not more effective, though. A few attempted dribbles, one or two successful combinations, but a very timid entry into play despite everything, even though it was his first.
