Teuma to Standard
“Teddy Teuma is a Rouche. The midfielder ends the season on the banks of the Meuse. Teuma has signed a contract with Standard de Liège until the end of this season. The parties will sit down after the regular competition to discuss a possible contract extension after June 30,” Standard announced via club channels.
Wilmots is very satisfied with the arrival of the ex-Union SG player, who was doing quite well in Ligue 2 at Stade Reims with 6 goals and 5 assists in 19 matches.
“I am very pleased that we have been able to complete this transfer for the remainder of our season. Teddy will bring to our team his experience, his fighting mentality, his leadership and his ability to create surpluses and create danger in the opponent’s penalty area,” said Wilmots.
Satisfied former Union SG player
Teuma also provided more explanation on his return to the Jupiler Pro League. “I couldn’t refuse Standard de Liège’s proposal. I’m looking forward to reliving the Belgian competition that has brought me so much, to seeing a teammate like Casper Nielsen with whom I shared so many wonderful moments, and to feeling the passion of the Rouches supporters again, this time on the same side.”
Teuma joins Standard Liège. The 32-year-old midfielder makes his return to JPL by signing a 6-month contract with Rouches. Welcome, Teddy. 🇲🇹
