Ice and snow don’t stop sport. From the five-a-side football al indoor archeryil baseball and the running athletes are ready to compete this weekend. After the success of the Befana Tournaments, which from 4 to 6 January involved over 3,500 athletes, 120 football teams and 70 basketball teams from all over Italy at the Nicoletti Sports Center and in the city gyms, another weekend of sport and attendance is about to arrive.
Tomorrow at the Playhall ‘Massimo Pironi’ will take placeChampions in Tour in Riccione‘, third edition of the national youth five-a-side football tournament for charity. Between tomorrow and Sunday the Annika Brandi gym will host the ‘13th City of Riccione Trophy‘ indoor archery, an interregional competition in which around 160 archers will participate, from the youngest to senior athletes.
On Sunday, the Playhall will also welcome the first edition of the ‘Winter League in baseball‘ of the province of Rimini, with the participation of around 100 young athletes from various clubs in the area. And the Mini Calendar Race will also take place on Sunday runninga non-competitive 8 kilometer race organized by Asd Riccione Podismo. Departure in the Spontricciolo area in via Rebola at 9.30.
