Sport Club do Recife began a broad schedule of renovations to its infrastructure, prioritizing the recovery of degraded areas and the modernization of living spaces
Under the leadership of the Vice-Presidency of Infrastructure, Fortunato Russo Neto, the project focuses on rebuilding the headquarters, renovating bathrooms and implementing sustainable solutions.
Priority is the return of Ilha do Retiro to its fans
The current management identified the urgent need for interventions at headquarters and on Ilha do Retiro. According to the Ministry’s Vice-President, Fortunato Russo Neto, the starting point was defined by the symbolic and practical value of these spaces.
“The headquarters is Sport’s calling card. We are prioritizing the most emergency areas, such as the roof and the renovation of the bathrooms, so that members and fans have a dignified experience within the Club”, says the vice-president.
Financial planning and strategic partnerships
Even faced with a challenging financial scenario, the Club adopted a management model based on bimonthly goals. Among the short and medium term actions, the partnership with an architecture firm stands out. The project foresees a complete restructuring of the first floor of the headquarters.
In addition to aesthetic and structural improvements, the Sport seeks operational efficiency. Partnerships are also underway with the other vice-presidencies with the aim of reducing energy costs at the Club.
Professional management
The revitalization of heritage occurs in parallel with the implementation of new internal management processes. With the arrival of CEO Felipe Ximenes, the infrastructure department began to operate in an integrated manner with other areas of the Club, ensuring that schedules and budgets are strictly followed.
“We encountered a scenario of difficulties in processes and financial control. Today, we work with a professional organization chart to facilitate the works that the fans expect, such as the improvement of bars and common areas on the Island. However, it is important to highlight that all this work is the result of a team effort, carried out by several hands. Therefore, I want to thank here the commitment of Isaac Vasconcelos and Diogo Cabus, who are directing this work”, reinforces Fortunato.
