According to the Teamthe National Ethics Council (CNE), chaired by the former president of the LFP Frédéric Thiriez, decided to take up the Lille case.
Lille president Olivier Létang, subject to a two-match reprieve after his exit on the sidelines of Lille-Lyon (0-1), on September 28, which also led to a suspension of one match, could suffer a more severe sanction after his outburst towards the refereeing during LOSC-Rennes (0-2). The former Rennes president and coach Bruno Genesio made very critical remarks against the referee, Eric Wattellier, who had excluded a Lille player from the match. Lille coach Bruno Genesio had to be held back by several players as he approached the referee.
Also in the CNE’s sights are the Dogues Virage Est (DVE) supporters who insulted the League and the referee during the match. A group of supporters who were not supposed to be present, due to the partial closed session of their stand. It will then be up to the disciplinary committee of the Professional Football League to take up the matter and decide whether or not to impose sanctions against the northern leaders.
