Soprel Badminton: Successful Launch & First Edition

The Badminton Club Pérols (BCP), which is celebrating its 10th anniversary, organized the first edition of the Soprel tournament on April 20 and 21. Inspired by the name of a sea dragon and the BCP logo, Soprel symbolizes combativeness and determination, like the players and reflects the essence of the town of Pérols, between sea and ponds.

The event brought together nearly 200 competitors, representing 35 clubs and 5 different leagues (Occitanie, PACA, Île de France, Nouvelle Aquitaine and Pays de la Loire).

Divided into different game categories, from P11 to R5, the players competed in 331 matches which took place over two days.

The BCP players proudly represented their club by lining up 24 participants who won 6 gold medals, 5 silver medals and 7 third places, including an exclusively Pérolian podium for the women’s doubles.

The organization of the tournament was praised by all participants. It must be said that the BCP has used great resources: welcome pack with sports towel bearing the image of the tournament, snacks and refreshment bar offering “homemade” food by club volunteers, sheltered outdoor terrace, masseur, osteopath… and quality prizes!

This all contributed to creating a friendly and comfortable atmosphere for all participants. This first edition of the Soprel tournament was crowned with success. The president of the BCP, Vincent Gratadour, expressed his gratitude to all those who contributed to making this event memorable: office members, volunteers, partners and participants.

Thanks to all of you, this tournament was a friendly, sporting and emotional moment. We can’t wait for next year to continue surprising you “, confided Vincent Gratadour.

The meeting is therefore underway, the second Soprel edition will take place in 2025!
