Sochaux vs Lens: Coupe de France Match Postponed – Snow Delay

While the Lensois had already traveled to play this round of 16 at Sochaux in the Coupe de France scheduled for this Saturday, representatives of the FFF and the public authorities met to decide to postpone the match due to bad weather until the next day at 3 p.m.

In a press release published this Saturday, Sochaux confirmed this decision by thanking the current leader of Ligue 1: “Due to poor weather conditions and by prefectural decision, the Coupe de France match in the round of 16 between FC Sochaux-Montbéliard and Racing Club de Lens at Stade Bonal, is postponed to Sunday January 11 at 3 p.m. FC Sochaux-Montbéliard thanks the Racing Club de Lens for its cooperation and agreement regarding this postponement, thus making it possible to welcome the public to the Stade Bonal in optimal security and organizational conditions. »

Snowfall made access to the stadium quite difficult. But don’t panic, according to the Sochaux press release, the 20,000 expected spectators will be able to return on Sunday.

“All tickets already purchased remain valid for the new date of the meeting. In order to facilitate the reception of spectators, the club will put in place additional parking arrangements, the details of which will be clarified soon,” explained the club.
