FC Groningen Attendance Info – Key Updates

Saturday January 10, 2026 at 3:40 PM

FC Groningen will take on NAC Breda in Euroborg tonight from 9 p.m. The stadium opens at 7:30 PM. FC Groningen is working hard to get the stadium ready for the first competition match of 2026. FC Groningen asks supporters to come to Euroborg well prepared: take your time for your journey, dress warmly and be alert in and around the stadium. Everyone makes their own choice and assessment whether he or she considers it responsible to come to the competition, which is all about In Memoriam.

Although the winter has wreaked havoc in the Northern Netherlands, the field in Euroborg looks green. Staff and volunteers have been busy for days (including today) to clear snow and ice from everything in and around Euroborg. Supporters also help with the preparation. The KNVB expects the home clubs to do everything they can to ensure that the match can go ahead. It is therefore not FC Groningen that determines whether a match is canceled or not. Without notice to the contrary, football will be played in Euroborg tonight.

Carefully
FC Groningen calls on supporters to be careful on the road to and in and around Euroborg. Always pay close attention to possible slippery conditions. Responsibility for the access roads to and the areas around Euroborg lies with the Municipality of Groningen. They also work hard to make and keep all roads and parking spaces passable. However, going to and entering Euroborg is the responsibility of the supporter himself.

En route
Cyclists can store their bicycles for free in one of the bicycle sheds at Euroborg. Shuttle buses run from P&R Haren and P&R Hoogkerk to Euroborg from 7 p.m. The last bus to the stadium leaves 25 minutes before kick-off. Afterwards, the bus will drive back to the relevant P&R locations until one hour after the final whistle. A return ticket costs €4.

Hat+scarf combo
It makes sense in these weather conditions; but dress extra well and warmly. On the supporters’ square – in front of the stadium next to the Coal Wall – you can find a sales cart with FC Groningen Merchandise. There – and in the FC Groningen Store and at all points of sale in and around the stadium – the hat + scarf combo can only be purchased on match day for €25. Due to the weather conditions, food and drinks are only available inside the stadium, not outside.

In Memory
FC Groningen requests everyone to be present on time so that they can respectfully commemorate the FC supporters who died in 2025 from the stands during In Memoriam. This special and honorable moment every year takes place before the kick-off of the match.
