Slovácko Transfers: New Signing & Squad Updates

On the other hand, a new job is being sought for the Slovenian striker Žan Medved. The club from the east of Moravia also said goodbye to another sharp forward, Marko Kvasina, after two years.

“We need players who are willing to work and put their egos aside for the benefit of the team. This is the foundation we want to build on,” coach Roman Skuhravý explained to the club’s website about the decision not to take Medved to the training camp in Turkey.

The twenty-six-year-old striker came to Slovácko only in the summer. The only striker from the fall who remains in the squad and flew to the training camp is the experienced Michael Krmenčík.

In the offensive, coach Roman Skuhravý hopes a lot from the recovered Pavel Juroška, the new face of Ouando should also help significantly. The native of Abidjan in Ivory Coast, who also has a Canadian passport, was one of the leaders of the second team of the Serbian second league Voždovac in the fall, scoring six goals and assisting five of them.

“We have been watching the player for a long time, and in the current season he has seen significant performance progress. We particularly appreciate his extraordinary speed, high-quality runs for defense and significantly increased productivity this season. Thanks to the fact that he is able to stand up even in physical fights, he can be a very interesting type of player for the Czech league and in the future for European cups. This is a long-term project and it will depend on us and on the player himself to be the most successful,” sports and technical director Jakub Mareš characterized the latest acquisition for the Slavia club website.

Canadian winger Adonija Bryan Ouanda came to Slavia from the second Serbian league, immediately headed for Slovácko.

Now Slovácko intends to benefit from its advantages. But they have to wait for further reinforcements in Uherské Hradiště. David Bauer from Chrudim and Nigerian defender Abraham Nwankwo, who did not pass the entrance medical tests, failed the test. The Gambian striker Omar Sonko was reassigned to the B team.

“For David, the reason for this move is mainly the game load and the sports perspective. In the current situation, David would start in Slovácko mainly in the MSFL, which would mean a step back for him in his further development. Returning to Chrudim, on the other hand, offers him a regular match load at a higher competitive level,” said Slovácko sports director Veliče Šumulikoski.

So far, the club from Uherské Hradiště is lagging behind a number of competitors on the transfer market. “Unfortunately, it’s not going as fast as we imagined. However, we still have several players under negotiation and I believe that a new name will join us already during the training camp in Turkey,” noted Šumulikoski.

The positive news for the club is that experienced midfielder Marek Havlík flew to Antalya, who should sign a new contract in Slovakia.

The team from Uherské Hradiště awaits three preparatory duels in the south of Turkey. They will face the Serbian team Čukarički on Saturday, the leader of the Hungarian second league Honved Budapest on Tuesday and the Macedonian Sileks next Friday in the warm-up for the spring part of the first league.
