Sigma Prep: Spain vs USA/Korea – Home Advantage

Unpopular testing on January 4th, first time on grass on Monday. Football Sigma Olomouc has an important month-long preparation for the spring part of the Chance League.

Before leaving for training in Marbella, Spain on January 14, Hanáci will play two duels in Olomouc on the field in Řepčín. The first is on Wednesday from 2 p.m. against Poland’s Polonia Bytom, which is second in the second league there. This will be followed by Saturday’s showdown with Piast Gliwice, fourteenth overall in the Polish Ekstraklasa (11.00). Olomouc will thus follow up on two encounters with Polish clubs (Raków and Lech Poznaň) from the Conference League group.

After moving to the heat, Sigma should play three duels in Spain. Even before the opening game, on January 16, they will learn the opponent for February’s Conference League play-off double-header, which will be either Lausanne or Crystal Palace.

The club has not yet confirmed the opponent for the first duel in Spain on Saturday, January 17. On Tuesday, January 20, Hanáky will face an interesting encounter with the American Philadelphia Union, who won the Eastern Conference of the previous MLS season, but were subsequently eliminated in the quarterfinals of the playoffs.

Tomáš Janotka’s team will play the general for the first spring round of the Chance League on January 24 against South Korean Jeonbuk Motors, which is the champion of its competition.

Sigma Olomouc will enter the spring season with a home match against Hradec Králové on Saturday at 3 p.m.
