NOS Football

Internazionale has taken back the lead in Serie A from AC Milan. The team of coach Christian Chivu won 3-1 at home against Bologna and now has one point more than Milan, which already won at Cagliari on Friday evening.

Inter had not won the last three meetings with Bologna. However, the number seven of Serie A, who kept the Milan team out of the Super Cup final on penalties in December, had very little to contribute this edition.

Inter dominated from the start and after good work from Marcus Thuram (nice heel) and Lautaro Martínez, Piotr Zielínski opened the score just before half time.

Martínez headed in hard shortly after halftime and Thuram used his shoulder to make it 3-0. Santiago Castro returned the favor on behalf of Bologna.

Simple victory for Napoli

Napoli remarkably easily retained three points in the away match against Lazio. The reigning champion and current number 2 never had any problems with the number nine: 0-2.

Napoli dominated from the kick-off and had their star in Matteo Politano. The Italian provided the cross for Leonardo Spinazzola’s 0-1 and also took the free kick that was headed in by Amir Rrahmani. Eljif Elmas also seemed to make it 0-3 in the first half, but headed against the crossbar.

Antonio Conte throws himself between Marusic and Mazzocchi

Napoli also dictated the game in the second half, but failed to further expand the score. It became unfriendly in the closing stages. Lazio player Tijjani Noslin received his second yellow and therefore red.

After an upset, in which Napoli coach Antonio Conte pulled the hotheads apart, Pasquale Mazzocchi (Napoli) and Adam Marusic (Lazio) were also able to intervene.
