Scottie Barnes: Raptors Star Wins Player of the Week

TORONTO — Scottie Barnes of the Toronto Raptors was named the NBA East Player of the Week on Monday.

Barnes averaged 22 points, 6.3 rebounds and 6.0 assists. The Raptors prevailed in all three games he played.

He was absent during a loss in Boston, injured in his right knee.

On Sunday, Barnes had 31 points, eight assists and seven rebounds.

He made the decisive free throw with eight tenths of a second on the clock, in overtime, and Toronto won 116-115 ahead of the 76ers.

This season, Barnes averaged 19.4 points, 8.4 rebounds, 5.3 assists, 1.4 blocks and 1.3 steals in 39 games.

He is the only player in the NBA with at least 700 points, 300 rebounds, 200 assists, 50 steals and 50 blocks.

Undefeated in their last three home games, the Raptors will host Philadelphia again on Monday.
