Club Brugge remains fully committed to Andreas Schjelderup. The 21-year-old Norwegian winger is at the top of the blue-black wish list and negotiations with Benfica are in full swing.
According to Portuguese sources, Club has now submitted a concrete offer of 8 million euros fixed plus 3 million in bonuses. This brings the total to 11 million euros, but that is not enough for the time being.
Benfica wants at least 11 million euros guaranteed and does not count the bonuses as a fixed sum. The Portuguese top club would prefer to only let Schjelderup go if he receives a higher fixed amount.
Benfica wants a fixed amount of 11 million for Schjelderup
It was previously announced that Club Brugge has a personal agreement with the Norwegian. The fact that Schjelderup himself is open to a transfer to Jan Breydel is to the advantage of the people of Bruges.
According to A Bola, Blauw-zwart is willing to move up a bit and would like to go up to 12 million euros in total, although the difference in structure of the offer remains a stumbling block.
The arm wrestling is in full swing, but both clubs want to work it out. Club Brugge sees Schjelderup as a key piece towards the title, and a breakthrough in the negotiations seems increasingly closer.
