“It doesn’t feel nice”
On Sky, the goalscorer for the 2-0 win was finally asked about the fans’ whistles after the game. “Obviously it wasn’t our best game. But it’s 1-0 at halftime, so I don’t know if that’s helpful,” said Sabitzer, who understood the frustration, but thought the reaction was inappropriate. Keeper Gregor Kobel also said after the final whistle: “When you’re on the pitch as a player, it’s never nice when whistles come. When you’re in the lead, even less so. But in the end, the fans are allowed to do what they want. I’m not the one to shut them up. It doesn’t feel nice.”
