On the same day, a similar incident was recorded in neighboring Moldova. A Russian drone was discovered near one of the villages by a hunter who found it on the bank of a pond and immediately informed the authorities. The police and pyrotechnicians closed the area. According to the Moldovan police, it was a Gerbera drone that did not contain explosives and did not pose an immediate threat to the population.
They proved it with a photo
“It was found to be a Russian Gerbera model, the same as the last one found in our country. It did not contain an explosive and did not pose a danger to citizens,” wrote the Moldovan police on Telegram, which also published a photo of a crashed Russian drone.

Moldovans sound the alarm
Ukrainian newspaper The Kyiv Independent quoted Moldovan authorities as saying the incident represents a violation of sovereignty and a threat to the country’s national security. At the same time, the Moldovan Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the aggressive war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, which also affects the security of neighboring states.
“The Republic of Moldova condemns such a violation and condemns the aggressive war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, which also threatens the security of our citizens,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
The drone reached Moldova through Ukrainian territory, which Russia attacks daily. This is not an isolated case. In the past, crashed Russian drones were also recorded in other European countries, including Poland, Latvia and Estonia.
