Rafa Silva’s future entered a new chapter this Wednesday, with the arrival on the scene of Al Ahli, from Saudi Arabia.
According to the Fansthe club that has Rui Pedro Braz as sporting director presented a formal proposal to negotiate the signing of the Portuguese striker from Besiktas.
After the controversies at the end of last year — absence from training and absence from squads —, Besiktas excluded the forward from their plans for the future and are willing to negotiate the Portuguese’s move for a value of around 13 million euros.
According to the Turkish newspaper, the value was revised downwards in view of the Saudi offer, as the amount initially demanded by the president, Serdal Adali, would be €15 M — the director informed the player and businessman that only by paying such an amount would the deal be viable, after the athlete’s attempt to reach an agreement to leave at zero cost.
Jeddah now appears as a potential destination for Rafa Silva, although Benfica maintains interest in the striker, who played with an eagle on his chest from 2016/17 to 2023/24.
