Provence Rugby dominated Grenoble this Thursday at the opening of the 16th day of Pro D2.
After three weeks of truce, Provence Rugby temporarily seized second place in the Pro D2 ranking, coming back to three points behind leader Vannes after sweeping Grenoble 45 to 15 on Thursday in the opening match of the 16th day.
Superior in all areas of the game, the Provençaux, who now have 51 points, took the lead from the 5th minute (Drouet’s try) in this replay of the last Pro D2 semi-final won by the FCG (38-17) last May.

This time, the Isère club seemed helpless against the Aix surge and its 7 tries (3 in the first period, 17-3 at the break) on the synthetic turf of the Maurice-David stadium.
Grenoble continues its eighth away defeat this season and remains tenth while awaiting the other matches of this first day of the return phase with in particular the leader Vannes who will want to bounce back on Friday against Mont-de-Marsan after having ended 2025 with a setback in Béziers.
