Persib Bandung: 2 Players Released in Mid-Season Transfer

Jakarta, tvOnenews.com – Persib Bandung took a strategic step in the second round of the 2025-2026 Super League by loaning two of its players, Muhammad Rezaldi Hehanussa and Al Hamra Hehanussa, to Persik Kediri. This decision is temporary for six months until the competition ends to ensure that both of them get more stable playing minutes.

Tight competition within the squad is the main reason behind this policy. Persib considers this loan to be the best solution so that the development of the two players is maintained through regular competition experience.

In the first round of the 2025-2026 Super League, Rezaldi Hehanussa only appeared once as a substitute in the away match against PSIM Yogyakarta on 24 August 2025. In the AFC Champions League Two, he also made two appearances, all starting from the bench.

Even though his playing minutes are limited, Rezaldi is part of the squad for back to back champions in Liga 1 for the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 seasons. This experience is important capital which he hopes to maximize with Persik Kediri.

Meanwhile, Al Hamra Hehanussa, who joined Persib at the start of the season, has yet to make his debut in an official match. However, his performance during training is considered to have shown significant and consistent development.

Hamra is often included in the line-up list thanks to his technical quality and good understanding of tactics. Competition at the back made the coaching team choose the loan route so that their potential could develop through competitive matches.

Deputy CEO of PT Persib Bandung Bermartabat, Adhitia Putra Herawan, emphasized that this decision was not due to doubts about the quality of the players. He actually considers Hamra to be an important asset for the club in the future.

“Hamra is a player with excellent potential. Every day in training, he shows promising progress, attitude and quality. Therefore, Persib wants to ensure that he gets playing opportunities commensurate with his abilities. Together with Persik, we hope that Hamra can gain match experience that will enrich his development as a player,” said Adhitia in a release received on Friday (16/1/2026).

Adhitia also emphasized the importance of flying hours for players who are in their development age. According to him, the rhythm of the match will really help the players’ mental and technical readiness when they return to the club.
