Vagić was loaned to Helsingborg in 2023 but was picked back and got an increasingly large role in Hammarby when Kim Hellberg took over the coaching role ahead of the 2024 season.

Since then, he has grown into a significant role in Hammarby’s backline.

– We want to send a big thank you to Pavle for his efforts in Hammarby, continues Hjelmberg on the club’s website.

Moving to China

Vagić’s new club address is already ready. The 25-year-old moves to Liaoning Tieren FC, which resides in the Chinese top league, the Chinese Super League.

During the last week, he received permission from Bajen to familiarize himself with the new club, and on Tuesday afternoon the deal was completed.

Liaoning Tieren FC won the China League One (Chinese second division) for the first time in the club’s history in the 2024/25 season.

The Chinese Super League kicks off the season on March 6th.
