Our very strong start to 3QT was not enough… This 24th day of EuroLeague against Dubai ended in a 79-99 defeat for Paris Basketball at the adidas arena.
An unprecedented challenge awaited our Parisians this Thursday evening. However, good runs were no match for the Emirati consistency in the game.
From the first actions, the 2 teams plunge this meeting into trench warfare. Impossible to shoot without one hand dragging there and the elbows are constantly out on the rebound. Dubai certainly takes the advantage, but Paris does not give up, like the 2 counterattacks released by Enzo Shahrvin in less than 3 minutes. But after a good 1QT at 3 points (3/6), our Parisians experienced a breakdown in skill when the visitors continued to increase the number of assists (14 in the first half). Jared Rhoden’s band with 5 interceptions in 13 minutes, however, multiplies the drives or even the penetrations to stay in the game (32-52).

At home, Paris Basketball does not let itself be discouraged. On the contrary, this aggression made in Paris combined with big shots from the parking lot allows our players to completely get going again. When Dubai maintains its cruising speed, the Yak causes a tsunami in an adidas arena which capsizes in total madness. A few minutes before the 4QT, our team reduced the gap (53-65). And despite another good start from QT (63-76), our Parisians are unable to overcome the deficit incurred during the first half of the game (79-99).
Faced with opponents still undefeated in the Adriatic League, the heat from our Parisians failed to sufficiently reduce Dubai’s lead. From now on, Paris has its eyes fixed on its next match against Le Portel at the end of the week.
