Para-Badminton Worlds 2024: French Players to Watch

There are 19 of them qualified for Bahrain! The French para-badistas will be in number to seek titles at the Para-Badminton World Championships, from February 8 to 14, 2026. Among them, 9 are selected according to the criteria of the French Badminton Federation.

According to the qualification rules of the BWF (International Badminton Federation), 19 French players are qualified to compete in the Para-Badminton World Championships in Bahrain.

The French Badminton Federation has established selection criteria, concerning French players, in order to establish a federal selection, which are as follows:

  1. Be ranked among the 8 best players in the world in the BWF rankings as of the release date of the 1st qualification list by the BWF.
  2. In the event of participation in less than 6 tournaments over the period taken into account for the world ranking: have an average points greater than or equal to that of the 8th qualifier.

As such, the following players are selected:

  • Milena SURREAU – SD SL3 – Badminton Club Mendulphin – Departmental Committee 44 – Pays de la Loire League
  • Lucas MAZUR – SH SL4 – BC Chambly Oise – Departmental Committee 60 – Hauts-de-France League
  • Méril LOQUETTE – SH SU5 and DX SL3/SU5 – Les Volants De Cergy – Departmental Committee 95 – Ligue Ile-de-France
  • Maud LEFORT – SD SU5 – Union Sport. Ezanville-Ecouen – Departmental Committee 95 – Ile-de-France League
  • Charles NOAKES – SH SH6 – Badminton Club St Herblain – Departmental Committee 44 – Pays de la Loire League
