Pallacanestro Reggiana: Rossato Contract Extension to 2029

Pallacanestro Reggiana announces that it has signed an agreement with Riccardo Rossato, a 190cm guard, born in Venice on 18 September 1996, until the end of the 2028/2029 sports season.

Rossato took his first steps among the professionals with Assigeco Piacenza, where he made his debut in Serie A2 in the 2013/2014 season. From 2016 to 2018 he wore the Reggio Calabria shirt, before becoming one of Scafati’s points of reference: he played six seasons with the Campania club, culminating with the historic promotion to Serie A achieved in 2022.
In the last year and a half he played at Trapani Shark, reaching the semi-final of the last championship playoffs.

An element of great reliability and experience, Rossato is currently in the Italian national team: his value is demonstrated by his inclusion among the 17 called up for the last FIBA qualifying window, the first under the guidance of the new coach Luca Banchi. Last summer he was also the last athlete to leave the blue group in the run-up to the European Championships.

Coach Dimitris Priftis commented on Rossato’s arrival in the red and white as follows: “He is a player with experience and potential. This is an important addition to our roster who will be able to benefit from his offensive skills. At the same time, I believe that defensively he can also bring a plus to our system.”
