With 362 matches in the MFF shirt, Oscar Lewicki is the outfielder in the squad who has played the most matches for the club.
It all started when he was admitted to the very first class in MFF’s school academy operation and at the same time started playing in the association’s youth team. After junior high school, he had the opportunity to continue his football career at FC Bayern. For three years he was part of the German club’s youth activities and also played with the reserve team.
When he returned to Sweden in 2011, it was to play in BK Häcken, where, after his first full season at the club, he won the award for “Newcomer of the Year” at the Football Gala. In connection with the expiration of his contract with BK Häcken, he was presented in the MFF jersey at a press conference in November 2014. He has worn it ever since.
It is no exaggeration to say that Oscar Lewicki is one of the most meritorious MFF players in modern times. In addition to everything he has done in the sky blue shirt, he has also won EC gold with the U21 national team and is also listed for 15 A national matches.
In connection with the fact that he ends his eleventh straight season in MFF at the end of the month, he is also putting his shoes on the shelf. Malmö FF sends a big thank you to a valued teammate and colleague for the hard work on the field and the many successful years in the association.
Good luck with the next chapter in life, Oscar!
Daniel Andersson, Football manager
– Oscar is a genuine Malmö guy who found his home again in 2016. His importance during the years when we established ourselves in Europe and started winning domestic titles again can hardly be overestimated. The last few years have been marked by injuries, but Oscar has never complained. When he has been able to play, he has always given his utmost for Malmö FF. He is a player who lifts his teammates and makes those around him better, and who has always put the club and the team first.
Oscar Lewicki
– When I think back on my journey in football, it feels like a book filled with chapters. All these years have made me who I am today. The training that shaped me, the matches that tested me. The teammates who became friends for life. The coaches who believed in me. You, the crowd that carried me forward.
– It is with both pride and humility that I say thank you. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this journey – my wife Sofia and my children, my family, friends, teammates leaders and supporters. Thanks for everything. Thank you for every minute, every match, every memory. I will carry this chapter with me forever.
