To hope to raise its head with a view to maintaining its position, Olympic Charleroi had to beat Club NXT, the red lantern, at home this Friday. But the Mastiffs have hit rock bottom.
Olympic Charleroi supporters will not be able to smile again this Friday. The Mastiffs hosted Club NXT at the opening of the 21st day of Challenger Pro League, with a mission: to take three points against the bottom of the championship.
But the Olympic has hit rock bottom. While the score was still 0-0 at the break, the Carolos completely took over in the second half and conceded three goals, for a dry 0-3 defeat against the U23s of Club Bruges.

Bruges’ first goal came from a standstill in the 59th minute, with a shot from outside the box by Rayan Buifrahi. In the process, on a counter, Thibaut Van Acker made the break. Finally, on a header, Da Silva will set the score at the end of the match.

This defeat, the second in 2026, leaves the Olympic in great difficulty: Seraing is 3 points ahead with two games less, and the Anderlecht U23s 4 points ahead with one game less.
Taking into account the fact that the U23 teams cannot a priori go down (and 3 of the 4 U23 teams are currently among the last five teams in the ranking…), the situation is therefore critical for the Mastiffs.
