Sometimes football offers stories to remember that go far beyond the result on the pitch. This is the case of the match Nigeria-Moroccoor the semi-final of the African Cup. In fact, the match will not be remembered only for the final result, i.e. the victory of the Moroccans after the penalty shootout, but for a sensational episode: the issue relating to the Nigerian goalkeeper’s towel Nwabali. The same man, in the aftermath of Morocco’s defeat in the final, decided to return to that episode, taking a big pebble out of his shoe.
