NM1 (18th day). Levallois – Cep Lorient, this Saturday (5 p.m.)
This meeting between Levallois and Cep Lorient will feel like a turning point. Indeed, a victory would allow Pascal Thibaud’s team to get a little closer to qualifying for the top 7, but also to come back to the level of their one-night host. Conversely, a defeat, Gabriel Péri Hall, would allow the Ile-de-France residents to widen a small gap with the Lorientais, and to take an option with a view to phase 2.
“All victories will be important”
The challenge of this meeting, for the residents of Kervaric, will be to win so as not to be dropped in the ranking, but also to assert their ambitions for the rest of the season. “Our primary ambition is to take the matches one by one. All victories will be important with a view to qualifying for the upper group, before planning or making calculations for phase 2, each thing in its time,” explains the Lorient coach. A victory would allow them to recover the point lost in the first leg. After having mastered his subject for 30 minutes, the Cep finally bowed to everyone’s surprise against the zone defense put in place by Sacha Giffa at the end of the match.
“It’s obviously a special match. Going to win at Levallois is good, but if it is to lose two or three matches afterwards, it would not make sense,” continues Pascal Thibaud. The Morbihan coach will be able, for this clash of the 18th day, to count on a full squad with the returns of Robertson, Robin and Ghezala, absent against Pôle France.
