Nico Collins Injury: Patriots Game Update

You will be able to follow the match between the Texans and the Patriots on Sunday from 2:30 p.m. with the Blitz pre-match, on RDS.

Houston Texans star wide receiver Nico Collins will be out for Sunday’s playoff duel against the New England Patriots due to a concussion.

Collins was injured during Monday’s playoff game against the Steelers in Pittsburgh when he fell face-first while trying to catch a pass. Collins immediately put his hands in his face following the impact before leaving towards the locker room.

Collins has caught 71 passes this season for 1,117 yards and six touchdowns.

The Texans will therefore have to turn to receiver Christian Kirk, who had a career high against the Steelers with gains of 144 air yards. He thus established a franchise record in the playoffs, eclipsing Collins’ mark achieved last year against the Los Angeles Chargers.
