Still without world champions Franz and Moritz Wagner, the Orlando Magic suffered a bitter defeat in the NBA. The team from Florida State lost 112:120 to the Washington Wizards from the bottom of the table on Wednesday night. The Wagner brothers were still missing due to injuries.
European champion Tristan da Silva was in the starting five and put up 13 points, but this wasn’t enough for success. For eleven games now, Orlando has alternated between victory and defeat. With a record of 20:17, coach Jamahl Mosley’s team is just outside the direct playoff ranks in seventh place in the East.
Doncic and LeBron lead Lakers to victory
Franz (ankle sprain) and Moritz Wagner (torn cruciate ligament) are still waiting for their comeback, which is eagerly awaited before Orlando’s visit to Berlin against the Memphis Grizzlies on January 15th.
Before the trip to the Wagners’ hometown, their team will face the Brooklyn Nets (Thursday, 1:30 a.m.), the Philadelphia 76ers (Saturday, 1:00 a.m.) and the New Orleans Pelicans (Sunday, 9:00 p.m.).
Würzburg’s Maximilian Kleber was not used in the Los Angeles Lakers’ 111:103 win in New Orleans. Superstars Luka Doncic and LeBron James led their team to their third success in a row with 30 points each.
