Natan Suspension: Misses Valencia Clash After Fifth Yellow

Manuel Pellegrini and Real Betis will have one more loss for next Sunday’s duel against Valencia. And Natan de Souza saw his fifth yellow card of the season against Alavés, so he will be punished with a one-match suspension for the duel corresponding to the 22nd day of LaLiga 25-26.

The Brazilian center back, who started in the Mendizorroza match in the starting eleven forming a centre-back pair with Marc Bartra, brought down Toni Martínez harshly in the 35th minute and was cautioned by the referee, Miguel Ángel Ortiz Arias.

The referee did not consider, also with Natan as the protagonist, that an ugly tackle by Lucas Boyé, after the Brazilian threw the ball away from his domain, was worthy of a yellow card shortly after Carlos Vicente’s goal in the 3rd minute of the match.
