MP Youth Games 2026: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has taken a historic step to promote sports in Madhya Pradesh and provide a platform to the youth. On the lines of Olympics, a new revolution of sports has been started across the state under “Khelo MP Youth Games 2026”. Under this event, competitions of various sports will be organized with a prize money of Rs 4 crore, which will provide a big platform to the players. Addressing the program, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that currently 11 sports academies are running in Madhya Pradesh and the state has now become a hub of sports. Reiterating the slogan “Victory to Madhya Pradesh and victory to all of us”, he said that when we continue to achieve victory in all the various fields, victory will come automatically.
Grand inauguration of Khelo MP Youth Games 2026
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav recently inaugurated the “Khelo MP Youth Games 2026” and inaugurated its logo, T-shirt, torch, anthem and mascot. During this time, this proved to be a great news for the young players of the state, because now they will get another opportunity to hone their talent. Along with this, the winning players at the state level will be given a grand prize of ₹ 4 crore, which will further motivate them.
Prize distribution: Attractive prize of Rs 4 crore
A wonderful scheme of prizes has been prepared in the Khelo MP Youth Games 2026. Players who perform excellently at the state level will get a total reward of ₹ 4 crore. In this, the first place winner will get Rs 31 thousand, the second place winner will get Rs 21 thousand, and the third place winner will get Rs 11 thousand. This prize money is to recognize the enthusiasm and hard work of the players. These awards will be distributed in competitions from block level to state level.
Organization of sports: Competition will be held in 11 sports
In this Khel Mahakumbh, competitions of a total of 11 sports will be organized in three phases. These sports include hockey, boxing, athletics, kho-kho, swimming, table tennis, mallakhamb, wrestling, judo, chess and weightlifting. Apart from this, competitions of sports like football, volleyball, cricket, badminton, pittu, basketball, tennis, yoga, tug of war, and kabaddi will be organized in four phases. Also, sports like Archery, Taekwondo, Kayaking, Rowing, Fencing, Shooting and Throw Ball will be organized directly at the state level.
Events will be held in different cities of the state
Under Khelo MP Youth Games, competitions will be organized in various major cities of Madhya Pradesh. Cities like Bhopal, Indore, Shivpuri, Gwalior, Ujjain, Jabalpur, Rewa, Narmadapuram and Sagar have been selected for organizing these games.
There will be competitions in athletics, fencing, boxing, cricket, rowing, kayaking, swimming, shooting, hockey and throw-ball in Bhopal. There will be basketball, weightlifting, table tennis, tennis and swimming in Indore. There will be competitions for women’s cricket in Shivpuri, hockey (women), badminton and pitu in Gwalior. Apart from this, there will be competitions of various sports in other cities also.
Participation of 1.50 lakh players
About 1.50 lakh players from across the state will participate in Khelo MP Youth Games 2026. The event will be conducted in four phases – block, district, division, and state level. Players performing in these competitions will be given priority in further state team selection, which will give them an opportunity to play on national and international platforms.
