Morocco vs Tanzania: CAN 2025 Lineup & Hakimi Start

First start for Achraf Hakimi at the 2025 African Cup of Nations. Substitute during the group stage because of his serious ankle injury suffered against Bayern Munich at the beginning of November, the Parisian right-back only entered the game in the last match, against Zambia.

Now fully recovered, he was lined up as a starter by Walid Regragui for this Sunday’s round of 16 against Tanzania.

The African Golden Ball will be accompanied in defense by Adam Masina, Nayef Aguerd and Noussair Mazraoui. Behind, the goals will be protected by the indestructible Yassine Bounou.

In midfield, Walid Regragui was forced to make a change following Azzedine Ounahi’s withdrawal. Bilal El Khanouss takes his place. Suffering from his ankle since the start of the competition, Sofyan Amrabat is also absent and replaced by former Lens player Neil El Aynaoui.

The composition of Morocco:

Bounou – Hakimi, Aguerd, Masina, Mazraoui – El Aynaoui, El Khannouss – Diaz, Saibari, Ezzalzouli – El Kaabi. Selectionneur: Walid Regragui

Up front, Ismael Saibari, Brahim Diaz, Abde Ezzalzouli and Ayoub El Kaabi, already starting against Zambia in the last match, will be responsible for shaking up the Tanzanian defense, which has already conceded four goals since the start of the competition.
